Postgraduate Studies

The Federal State Budgetary Institution "All-Russian Plant Quarantine Center" (FGBU "VNIIKR") (hereinafter referred to as the Center) provides training for citizens in higher education programs—programs for training scientific and academic staff in postgraduate programs. Training is conducted full-time on a fee-paying basis (paid by individuals or legal entities). The standard duration of study for postgraduate programs is four years.

During their postgraduate studies, postgraduate students are required to master the educational program in accordance with their scientific specialization, pass three candidate examinations (in the history and philosophy of science, in English, and in their scientific specialization), and, through research, prepare a dissertation for defense for the degree of Candidate of Sciences. Quality assurance of postgraduate program completion includes ongoing monitoring of postgraduate students' academic performance, annual midterm assessments, and a final assessment upon completion of the program. Final assessment for the doctoral program consists of a dissertation evaluation to determine its compliance with the criteria established by the Federal Law "On Science and State Scientific and Technical Policy."

Individuals who successfully pass the final assessment are awarded a certificate of completion. Individuals who fail the final assessment without a valid reason or who receive an unsatisfactory grade on the final assessment are issued a certificate of completion. All graduate students who complete the doctoral program receive a conclusion from their organization regarding the compliance or non-compliance of their dissertation with the criteria established by the Federal Law "On Science and State Scientific and Technical Policy." The format of the certificate, the form of the certificate, and the form of the organization's conclusion are determined by the Center.
